WHAT DID YOU SAY?!
I looked him right in the eye and told him that was the most offensive, inappropriate thing anyone had ever said to me. Then I wrote him a referral. I want his mama to know what he said.
UPDATE: Kid got an in-house suspension and wrote me an apology letter.
